The people of Nso (Banso) have taken to the streets of Berlin Placards requesting the immediate release of their Founder Ngonnso. The Statue of Ngonnso was Stolen by the German General Von Pawelsz in 1902. Later taken to Germany in 1903 and kept at one of their museums.

The founder of this great initiative Njobati Sylvie made it clear she travelled miles to be at Berlin, Germany and won’t return till she successfully gets the great Statue of the Nso Founder.

She wrote, “Your favourite activist is ready to go out there….” She continues by saying “I am proud of being, but I am not proud of how much I had lost touch and connection with my culture. I set out on this documented journey to bring back our queen mother and founder yah #Ngonnso. It has definitely been a long struggle and I hope it only hopes it gets better.

The Nso people have made it clear that they condemn the false imprisonment of their founder Ngonnso and other objects. Nso Community wants their Spiritual, Mother Yaa Ngonnso, back to the Dynasty that she founded. Consequently, they unit under NsoFirst-NSODA Organization to bring Back Yaa Ngonnso to our Nso Palace.
Prominent Nigerian Writer and Activist Chimamanda Ngozi showed support to the people of Nso. She condemned the act of Colonialists keeping the treasures of Africans in their museums. She went as far as talking about it at the Humbold Forum which took place a few days ago.
It’s worth remembering that Americans took away Afo-akom to America and could not keep it because of the spiritual powers that fought them day and night. It was sent back to Kom some decades ago.
