Cameroonian football legends Samuel Eto fils and Geremi sorel Njitap saw their candidature rejected for the presidency of the Cameroon football federation(FECAFOOT).
The Cameroon football federation(FECAFOOT) is been run by an interim president Seydou Mbombo Njoya, who is also a contender to the prestigious post of Fecafoot chairman. The reasons for the candidature rejection were due to the double nationalities of the football legends, Samuel Eto fils and Geremi Njitap both have Spanish nationalities apart from their Cameroonian nationality. Cameroonian law does not recognize double nationality, so this immediately eliminates them from contesting for the presidency post.
