African legendary footballer and former captain of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Samuel Eto’o has been appointed Roving Ambassador of the Republic of Chad.
An excerpt of the statement from the Presidency containing his appointment reads:
“By Decree No. 2155/PR/ MD/2020 of October 22, 2020, the presidency of the Republic of Chad appoints the persons below as roving ambassadors for the presidency.”

This comes just a few days after the former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker paid an unannounced visit to the Central African Nation. As Roving Ambassador, Samuel Eto’o will help maintain and promote the political, commercial, and cultural relations between Chad and other countries.
